Two loyalty engines, two ordering stacks, earn rates from 0% to 15%, and guests who know the brands but not eathos. Consolidating this is the real job.

What we looked at

Reward discovery from Aura and SHARE, multi-kitchen food discovery from Wonder, product-led calm from Eataly, multi-location discovery from Arcade. Observed from store listings and public pages, not logged-in sessions.

Good food. Great mood.

The restaurants guests already love come first. eathos is the quiet host that brings them together: a plain, bold wordmark instead of a corporate logo.

  • Warm paper
  • Cherry
  • Coral
  • Lime
  • Lilac
  • Brands keep their skin, eathos keeps the skeleton: identical layout, navigation, states and payment; colour, photography and logo change per brand.
  • Large, tightly set headlines; photography and video carry the weight; rewards stay compact; challenge progress shows as visible stamps.
  • Motion is quiet and optional: one hero video at a time, a slow “Good food / Good company” band, and full respect for Reduce Motion.

What a guest does in the app

  1. Joins once with phone and OTP, and gets a wallet that works in every brand.
  2. Earns on every bill, dine-in, pickup or delivery, and burns in any brand.
  3. Unlocks rewards: welcome gifts per brand, challenges, badges, a VIP tier.
  4. Scans the table QR, sees the live bill, splits, tips and pays without waiting.
  5. Orders pickup from any brand with a hand-off code at the counter.
  6. Orders delivery, combining brands from the same kitchen in one basket.
  7. Finds kitchens nearby with hours, modes and today’s offers, and books a table where the brand offers it.
  8. Tops up a stored-value balance and pays from it, with bonus tiers and cashback.

Table bill in the appPayment screen
  • Scan/Pay is the centre tab: one gesture for table QR, counter identification and pickup hand-off.
  • Split by item or equally, tip with location presets, pay with card, Apple Pay or the eathos balance.
  • Points are pending until the POS confirms the check closed; the UI shows pending and confirmed states honestly.
  • Food-court brands have no table service, so pay-at-table is a per-location flag and the guest shows an eathos ID instead.
  • Guests without the app open the same bill on the web from the table sticker; staff see every paid check on their screen.

One wallet, every kitchen

Earn
1 AED = 1 point on the net bill, every brand, every channel; brand and channel multipliers are configurable.
Something meaningful every 4–5 visits
Every 300 points mints an AED 25 reward automatically; the wallet shows “x of 300”.
Welcome and always-on
A first order at a brand mints that brand’s gift; standing perks live on each brand page.
VIP, no step-up tiers
One flag, manual or automatic at AED 3,000 in 12 months: 1.25× points and one extra benefit per brand.
Stored value
Top up AED credit with bonus tiers (“load 200, get 220”), earn cashback and credit gifts from offers, pay from the balance.
Expiry
Points expire 12 months after they are earned, oldest first, with reminders at 30 and 7 days.

Offers, challenges and badges

  • Offers are written as rules and reviewed in plain language: who qualifies, what they order, what they receive, including several gifts in one campaign.
  • Audiences come from saved segments described in plain English; a SegmentBuilder agent fills in the validated rule.
  • Gamification campaigns are drafted independently, reviewed, then published as offers; badge artwork is generated for each one.
  • Engagement dashboards show opt-ins, completions and redemptions per campaign.
  • Explorer badge
  • Duo badge
  • Bao badge
  • Golden badge

The backoffice runs the group

Also: loyalty configuration, brand benefits, menu PIM with a menu assistant, live order operations, table stickers, catering requests. Built for marketing and operations staff, not engineers.

Built for 3.5 million guests a year

  • One Member object per guest owns the points ledger, stored-value credit, rewards, badges, challenge progress and own orders. Every write is exact and idempotent, so payment retries never double-count.
  • One TableCheck object per table is the open check: split claims, tips and tenders, closing with the POS.
  • Reference data in D1: brands, locations, tables, menus, loyalty configuration, offers, saved segments and a 90-day orders projection for staff and backoffice lists.
  • A Lakehouse for history: segments, cohorts, liability and dashboards over the full history, seeded with 300K members and 2.4M orders.
  • Three flows: TablePayment, OrderFulfilment and PointsExpiry carry charge, pending earn, confirmation and timeouts as declared procedures.
  • Six agents for staff: LoyaltyAnalyst, SegmentBuilder, PromoAssistant, TargetBuilder, MenuAssistant, BadgeDesigner. Every proposal is reviewed before it goes live.

Phasing

  1. Phase 1a · 2026Wallet, earn and burn, guest ID at the counter, pay-at-table in pilot stores, backoffice core, Come In migration plan.
  2. Phase 1b · Q1 2027All locations, KSA payments and SAR wallet, gamification depth, CDP dashboards, Arabic.
  3. Phase 2Pickup and delivery, multi-brand basket where kitchens are shared, Deliverect Direct and ChatFood sunset.

Phase 1 as briefed is a full loyalty platform plus POS-integrated payment in about twelve weeks. Splitting it keeps the 2026 date honest and the pilot measurable.
